Hi Paulneill , could possibly be a Hakea , leaves look very similar however i don't know the species well .Cheers Alpineart

I found it growing at the back of my sisters garden.

I think they are phyllodes from an Acacia. Looks like it is likely closely related to Acacia binervia (but it can't be that because the veins in the leaf are wrong).
