Went down to Bonsai Farm today to visit Lindsay for a chit chat today.
When i walk in. i saw a couple of Nishiki Matsu around the age of 14-18 yrs old.
What i think that is great about this Nishiki Matsu is that it is going to be a super corky trunk and beside that it has be semi train to be a shohin size bonsai.
I bought 1... though i am leaving Australia in a few months. too tempted. The one i bought is the smallest among the rest of the stock in there.
Though it is a grafted variety. it is possible to layer root out just above the graft and also on the sacrifice branch.

They are starting to bark up nicely. They're 7 or 8 years old John. I'll be interested to follow it's history.
