Nishiki Matsu From Bonsai Farm

Post by Dumper »

Went down to Bonsai Farm today to visit Lindsay for a chit chat today.

When i walk in. i saw a couple of Nishiki Matsu around the age of 14-18 yrs old.

What i think that is great about this Nishiki Matsu is that it is going to be a super corky trunk and beside that it has be semi train to be a shohin size bonsai.

I bought 1... though i am leaving Australia in a few months. too tempted. The one i bought is the smallest among the rest of the stock in there.

Though it is a grafted variety. it is possible to layer root out just above the graft and also on the sacrifice branch.

here are some photos of the nishiki matsu.

They are starting to bark up nicely. They're 7 or 8 years old John. I'll be interested to follow it's history.
