in need of a logo design

Post by Handy Mick »

I am in need of a logo for a new club in the southern highlands, could someone point me in the right direction in where to find one legally to use, or can someone produce one for me to use? Logo's are important I think in clubs, they help identify individual clubs and also to get in new members.
There are a few members on this site that are quite handy with a keyboard and design, let's see what we come up with.
Much appreciated Mick.

Hey Mick,

Wish I could help with your dilemma... I have the same one with the pottery, i have a few ideas but translating them into something concrete is beyond me.

Just keep sketching little doodles.. keep it to a few lines... That was the advice I got from a designer friend who refused to do it for me.. ownership of the piece... I liked that idea as it compares to my own preference in trees, those I have collected or raised from seed/cutting over prestyled trees.

Once you (and I) have an image it can be scanned & resized to suit....

Look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Matt

I could probably help you out, I'm a 3D artist but 2D stuff is a pretty big part of it as well. Do you have any sketches of the direction you want to go in?

Thanks Ben,
Mate, I am just after a shadow of a bonsai that you see on club shirts and news letters.
Maybe if someone let's us use a photo of theirs it could be colored black on the computer thingy.
I'm not sure how you do it but something like that would be fine.
Thanks Ben

G,day Mick any picture that I have posted of my trees you can use, as I would be honoured if one of my trees was used for a club.

The Home page has 3 of mine all native, so if you want to use no 1 or 3 or 5 thats fine by me. When you do have them done if you use one of my trees I would like to buy a shirt too, 4xl though as I am rather portly.

Cheers mate Pup

I am not adapt at this cut and paste stuff I have tried so many times and give up in frustration.

But to answer your question how long is a peice of string? I am not trying to be smart, but all three trees have won me prizes in the past both here and internationaly. So I will let you choose. The first one won the inaugural BCI AABC award in 2001 presented by Lindsay Bebb. The middle one won the AusBonsai comp last year and the third was 3rd which is one of my favorite trees.
