Tiny white fly looking things around root system
Tiny white fly looking things are around the root system at the bottom of the trunk of my PJ Fig.. Just wanted to check that its ok to use 'pest oil' on that area?

do you think it is possible to pop a picture of the insect up because it could be any type of bug which might require a certain bug killer
because to be on safe side you dont want to use the wrong one it might damage the tree

Hey Dean..
The little bugs are waaaaaaaaaayyyy too small to get a photo.. i don't have a telephoto lens for my camera =P
I think they can jump though if that helps?

these are probably thrips,
esp if they jump
they are naughty
suck sap and like to chew flowers etc
very hard to eradicate
pest oil will slow them down
pyrethrum will work better
