Alien life form

I found these wierd looking things in a tub of water that I had an olive soaking in, they're about 30mm long, they move about like a worm and have a long tail, they're transparent and you can see all their guts and stuff, looks like something from outer space, does anyone know what they are?

ps.. if you start scratching your bottom a lot more, i would lay off drinking the water..lol

looks to me like a water slug anyway

That's the weirdest thing. Doesn't look like a fish nor does it look like a tadpole. I can't even think of where to start looking for such a thing

OK - Major Blonde Moment for me! Was looking at the photo and saw the little scissors pointer from my mouse. I thought it was part of the photo and was pretty impressed with just how big this critter was!

I was thinking that I hope you did not get bitten when trying to get it out. Then I moved my mouse!!!!!!!

Hi ozzy,

Could it be Australian water worm? The kind that lives inside rotted timbers that are submerged
in water ways?

The Aboriginal people actually eats this kind of water worm -- raw. I saw this on 60 Minutes once.
The lady reporter from 60 Minutes actually ate one. She did not say it tastes like chicken. But
she said it tastes nice.

Hey Ozzy,

I'd chop it as shown. This will give good taper, and you can go from there. The top and bottom are pretty featureless, but if you chop it like I said, you can grow new structure in an informal leaning style. I think it will work well in a Mame Oval pot. Brown, unglazed. I have included a virt, but let us know how it goes!

Googling 'australian water worm' led me to several Youtube videos on removing human bot fly.

I'm not going to sleep tonight because the nightmares will be horrific.

I could not find anything on Australian water worm either.

I went to the 60 Minutes | Video library
site, but they seem to list only a handful of recent shows.

The story that I saw was by Ms. Ellen Fanning. It was about an Aboriginal boy,
who won scholarship to a very exclusive and prestigous Sydney high-school, and
he was returning home to learn the traditional Aboriginal way of life.

Sorry, I cannot remember the time frame of this show.
