Re: Bonsai Pot Workshop With Janet Selby
Just wanted to endorse Janet Selby,s workshop for bonsai pots.
Janet is a potter an artist and also a bonsai exponent and this makes for a very rewarding workshop.
Janet discusses the whys and wherefores of the clays and the methods of pottery.
Every thing is prepared so you can jump straight in and create your bonsai pot - Janet will fire your piece, then glaze your piece and fire it again to solidify the glaze and the clay - this is a great deal.
I did this course in July and produced one regular size piece and 1 smaller piece (like a buddy pot - forgot the real name) all the students produced pots.
If you have an idea for a pot you would like to make then it's likely you can make it here whether you are a newcomer to pottery or not. Otherwise you might pick out a design from pots Janet has on show.
Well worth the time.
Cheers David
