Sakura Bonsai Studio Inc. has been established for over twenty five years and meets on the second Sunday in every month at:

Seniors & Youth Centre Hall, Yulong Rd. Terrey Hills (directly behind the larger Community Centre Hall.)

We start at approximately 1.00pm and go through to about 3.00pm. If you would like to drop in, we would be happy to show you our club’s activities.

We have experienced tutors to teach you the art of Bonsai.

During the year we have guest demonstrators to our workshops to share their expertise, knowledge and also their humour with us.

afternoon tea and biscuits are available free of charge at the meetings. We always enjoy ourselves and learn from each other. So why not visit us and have a look. You will be under no obligation.

The School of Bonsai is highly recommended. They do mornings or afternoons, one class per week on the day of your choice (depending on skill level and class sizes). They are run by Clinton Nesci, a very accomplished australian bonsai artist and son of Ray Nesci, another great artist who owns one of the best bonsai nurseries in australia.

Information about the school of bonsai can be found here:

As jay Mentioned, The School of Bonsai and North Rocks, is Good.

We run a Program of lessons that take a novice thru to advanced Skills in a Classroom setting
You will learn all about Trees and their care, Techniques of how to create and maintain Bonsai.

The Full "course" runs over 3 years and the first 2 are 1hr Demo / Lesson, and then a Workshop where you are encouraged to work on your own trees

You can enter the "Program" at any stage if your existing skills are appropriate, bot most people start at the "beginners" class ad then progress. Even people that this they are "Too advanced" fro the beginners classes, have after a few weeks decided to go and start again as they realised the skills learnt in the initial terms are important. Even so called Skilled artists would benefit from these classes.

ps, come along to the Schools annual show, next weekend, and see the trees that our Members produce
