Overdue work on a couple of my BP
Due to a standstill on my project car I was able to do some work on a couple of neglected Black Pine.
The larger one will be stood up slightly when I repot it tomorrow.

WoW! That first one has some dramatic moment to its trunkline, was it trained from an early age to achieve that?
The second one is a corka also! Nice trees all round, wish I had some like them..

Mitchell,
I ground grew several BP and radiarta in the late 90s. The smaller was one of them and the rest were sold off to club members. This was also sold but the person got out of Bonsai and gave it back.
As you can see by the pic I chopped a large section off ( bottom Left ) to work with the lowest branch which enabled me to wirer in the movement.

Nice, nice... I am not the sharpest, but I generally have a pretty keen eye. I did not spot that original trunk line and the fact that you had worked just the lower branch. Me thinks it is a sign of a job well done... lovely tree once again mate...

All the 'drifters' make those sprinters soooo expensive!
It'll be great to see when done!

Re: Overdue work on a couple of my BP
The 4agze is a sensational motor! 200kw... You must be converting it to turbo, Peter? You won't make 200kw leaving it supercharged.
I love the naturally aspirated 4age. It doesn't make alot of power, but it's such a good engine!
My old drift car was a Japanese import sprinter, so factory 4age, bigger diff, disc brake rear, nicer interior, etc, etc. Brilliant car. Best car I have ver owned.
So my dream car is still one of those again. I don't want to drift though. I want a near immaculate one with a few certain modifications just to enjoy
Can't wait to see pics of your datto mate!

Re: Overdue work on a couple of my BP
Hmmmm. I'd be very interested to see the results
I'm still skeptical about the power figure though. Is that 200kw at the wheels you're after? 200rwkw will be very, very difficult keeping it supercharged, even with the cams and SC14. I would worry that the sc14 won't be efficient at 20psi?
Don't get me wrong, the 4agze is more than capable of that power level. I just think it will be very hard to obtain with a supercharger. Turbocharging would be a much mroe efficient way of getting there.
