Top Quality Fertilisers Dirt Cheap!!

Post by Jester »

Hi there crazy kids!!

I was recently speaking to a teacher of mine from TAFE about fertilisers and he told me about this place in Condell Park Sydney (near Bankstown) that sells fertilisers so I decided to take a look. The place is called :
Condell Park Produce
Pet and Saddlery Supplies
44 Simmat Avenue
Condell Park NSW (In Condell Park Shopping Centre which is tiny)
9790 6231
http://www.cpproduce.com.au

It is a family run business selling "traditional" produce
Well let me start by saying that this is not your ordinary fruit and veg despite the name (produce). Aside from selling equine supplies and pet supplies they have a superb range of fertilisers with a twist.
The fertilisers are in large bins and you buy them by the kilo. They then seal it air tight for you (but I have put mine in air tight plastic buckets as soon as I got home).

To give you an example, Shirleys No.17 is $1.55 per kg if you buy 10kg or more. Go into a typical retail nursery and see how much it costs!!!)

Some of the other fertilisers you can buy include Dynamic Lifter, or.... Dynamic Lifter in granular form similar to the texture of ground coffee which I am told is good for lawns as well as big bags of sheeps poo. They also have a slow release fertiliser called "Banana Special" which is like Osmocote with an NPK of about 10:8:10. They also have a special "Citrus Mix" which they mix themselves on the premises which is rich in iron and various other trace elements. From memory it's NPK was something like 14:8:14

They also have loose Urea, which looks like small white foam balls 48% Nitrogen. Each bucket has the NPK ratio written on it. There were others as well but I cannot remember off hand what they were. Just when I thought I could save money at B$^$##$%#%ings, now I will be coming here. They also sell a great range of bird seed and pesticides/herbicides.

Definitely worth a look guys. (It does not have a very obvious shop front.....you walk up a driveway and watch out for the smell!!!)

John
