Hiro Tuesday "Ausbonsai special"
We are looking foreward to today's workshops with Hiro in Melbourne.
In the afternoon session you can see eight trees some presented by people we all know.
Gabriel, Antal, John M, and myself plus four others will present trees to Hiro for styling.
Jow and Buzza will be there and that is just the ones I know about.
Stay tuned for the pics of 8 afternoon and 8 evening workshops
(Late tonite)

Re: Hiro Tuesday "Ausbonsai special"
nice gerard
thanks for taking all these pictures
i noticed in that first JBP are those needles cut? it looks like they have been cut by about half as there are some other needles on the tree that dont look trimmed? i have heard of people trimming the needles to encourage needle reduction?
jamie

Re: Hiro Tuesday "Ausbonsai special"
That was my tree Jamie, I trim needles with scissors sometimes to encourage back budding and/or to make wiring easier.Jamie wrote:nice gerardthanks for taking all these pictures

It is so easy to knock off a small bud when wiring.

Looks like some seriously heavy bending gear!
Aikido keeps me rolling; Bonsai keeps me still.
