G`day I am posting this Procumbens Juniper for some opinions. I think the foliage on the lower left side should be raised a little, what do you think?
Cheers

gday Rod
great to see ya back on again, even better your starting to play with ya trees again too! have you thought about moving that branch out to the left more? i think that would possibly be better than moving it up as it will show the trunk more and keep the tree in shape, i dont think it should be removed, in saying that a jin would work well there too!
i love this tree, one of my favs of yours mate.

Maybe lower all the branches on the left so they drop away from the trunk, and then I would even consider removing the ones on the inside of the bend, on the right
Ken
Edit: added a quick virt without the inside branches

Hi Rod
Nice tree. I am with Ken that it is the right side that needs working. I consider not removing the branch on the right but lowering it and then shortening it!
Edit quick look at your first virt may be close to what i was thinking.

Looking at bringing that right branch down it would probably be too much like a bar branch. Is it possible to replace this branch from one of the ones above. That way it would have a branch structure that makes sense with the apex and also leave the pad about the same spot it is now!

Thanks for the input guys I am definitely swaying toward the removing some foliage on the right . looking at the virts with that side removed I think highlights the jin and shari more, it also looks more balanced. I`m pleased to see this tree doing well. I grew it from a cutting about 18 yrs ago, and I used it in a workshop with Robert Steven in 2006 Cheers Rod

Hi Rod, good choice. Because the trunk moves to the right you don't want to take any branches of on the left. You need that counter balance. The virt with the branhes removed on the right looks great. Love to see a pic when you're finished restyling it.

Hi Rod, this is a pleasant tree. I prefer your first virt, but I am distracted by the origin of both the left and right lower branches. While not exactly bar branches, they are horizontally opposite one another. Perhaps if you could mask where one branch exits the trunk, this would improve the appearance of the tree.
Cheers,
Mojo
