Serissa, finally goes home

Hi there crazy kids!! Well , today, I bit the bullet and decided to put my Serissa in a pot after waiting for 2 years. I had the pot wrapped up in the shed for this very day and just could'nt wait any longer !!!!
It's actually a good thing that I did as I found 3 curl grubs in the soil !!! I decided to impale them onto bbq skewers (Was that wrong?)

I would appreciate any criticisms. (And I don't mean regarding the curl grubs!!! Sorry, but those curl grubs knew the risks when they became curl grubs!!) I have tried to make it as chinese as possible but will soon cultivate some moss that will cover the soil as well as creeping a little over both rocks. The photos were taken just after I had bedded the soil down and had it mist sprayed. This is why it still looks a little scruffy. Bear in mind, the foliage pad is a little askew but this will be corrected. I think the tree has had enough trauma for one day.

Well done, it looks like a quiet contemplative spot for a traveller to rest. Now you can admire it all through winter. What are you doing with the sucker?

Hi Pasquale, with the suckers reaching up to that branch you can see, I am trying to give it that kind of strangler fig appearance by coiling around the branch. I need to wait for spring to do a similar thing on the other side. It is something different that I have decided to do to try and make this Serissa (hopefully) a little unique.

Hehe, Not wrong at all, those eating machines are crazy at the mo. My dog, fish and crays love them I've been hard at weeding my entire front yard for a week now and have found I reckon 100 grubs so I'm thinking they're in the pots out the back too

I like what you've done here and with the levels of soil around those surface roots, the suckers look interesting also. Cant wait to see when you get the foliage layers and moss growth. Be sure to update
