I was looking around Bun*#ngs yesterday and noticed a few Ficus on a clearance counter ($8 each) called midnight beauty but it didn't have their full species name on the tag. They were nice looking trees, some with multiple trunks and ariel roots forming.
Can anyone tell me what a Midnight Beauty is? Might go back today and get them if they are still there.

benjimina for sure, and it is really hard to get back budding, i wouldnt reccomend them for anything more than a nice patio tree or similar
there are much better species of fig out there to use for bonsai
the baby benjimina are probably the best benji to use for bonsai cultivation. otherwise i would look at the retusa, nerifolia, obliqua, rubiginosa and a couple of others
