Repotting of a 50+ year old jade bonsai on YouTube (Aussie)

Post by Ron »

Repotting of a 50+ year old jade bonsai in Sydney by Alex Bennett, son of Megumi Bennett, a famous Australian bonsai artist. Love the removal method for the old pot Image .

The soil mix in the clear plastic bag definitely looks like Ray Nesci's potting mix.

Interesting. I just don't get why he needed 2 hamers for the job. Also the plant does not look that old. With a wide open mouth like that pot, he really didn't have to break the pot to remove it. Anyway, still interesting to see a different way to repot :)
Always we hope someone else has the answer.
Bonsai is an art of shrinking.
