Trident Mapple Issues....

Hi all, as a new member to this forum so far any advice i have seeked i have appreciated and more importantly learnt from. I recently aquired a Trident maple and i am struggling to keep it happy. It arrived in good health however over the past 3 weeks am noticing a change in the leaves. They apear to be drying out slightly and curling a bit. It receives full morning sun until luchtime and shade in the afternoon. Watering is done in the afternoon most days sometimes i waterin the morning if it looks like a warm one. Is it not getting enough sun, too much sun, not enough water too much water? or is it the begining of some thing more serious, leaves don't show signs of blistering or serious discolouring, your help is appreciated would rather not kill this one looks kinda preetty!
ps look closley and you can see leaves turning up on the edges.

Hi, your tritent leaves look more healthy than most of bonsai I have seen
If posible, I would recomment watering in the morning always instead of afternoon. There is a thread in this forum about watering time.

i'm by no means an expert, but your lovely trident may just be settling in to its new climate. Your watering routine and the trees positioning sound ideal to me.

I hate to tell ya... but it is autumn and leaves do strange things in autumn. I have one of 4 tridents going 'off', the others are still holding summer health.
Yes, water in the morning so the soil has time to drain before evening. As the days cool don't water the foliage in the afternoon unless you know the temp/wind will dry the leaves before nightfall. Your regime of morning sun/afternoon shade is good. As long as the leaves don't look harassed by insect damage I would not worry. It well could be simply settling into a new environment and micro-climate. It looks good. Just check the soil when you water to be sure it is not too wet.

Thanks guys i have noticed soil is a bit soggy will let it absorb before its next drink
