Does anyone know if NSW Christmas Bush is a good subject for bonsai?

Get a copy of Dorothy and Vita Koreshoff's book "BONSAI with Australian Plants". :D

Anyone had any experience with this species. Will they survive collection ?

I have never had much success with it. I've tried twice, and never continued.

I was recently thinking of having a go at some of these. Some of the old established trees have some nice bases but I think you would want to start from young stock to get some movement into the trunk, and sort out the roots. Think they might make a nice medium large tree to show off their colour at this time of year. Let me know how you go with them!
