Waverly Bonsai Club Show & Sale 9th & 10th August

Hi all,

If you're finding yourself in Melbourne next weekend, and fancy a visit to go look at some trees, the Waverly Bonsai Club Show & Sale day is on again!

Held at the Mount Waverly Community Centre 10am-4pm both days. Drop by and check out some trees, maybe add a new tree or pot to your collection while you're there!

Always good to get along to and have a yarn with old friends, take in some of the magnificent bonsai creations on display, and check out the sales room too!

Popped in to the show setup this evening to drop off some treasures viewtopic.php?f=25&t=31772&p=307147#p307147 for the sales room ... and have to say this year's show is looking great!

The show benches are inspirational, the sales room is fully stocked just waiting for all you early birds, and I heard talk of planned demos throughout each day to keep you entertained!

Some really fantastic pots and trees available this year! Had a very good look through after I finished helping with the layout and the judging

I had every intention of coming for a look this year but I was late to the repotting gig and have to prioritise maintenance on my own trees before I can go look at everyone else’s!!!
I hope it goes well for all involved.

Thanks for posting the photo, my phone camera is really only good for taking photos of sales items not anything of any quality so if anyone does have photos from the show please feel free to post them up.

We (the judges) very quickly settled on that P. radiata as the best in show, very well controlled growth and the spectacular deadwood running from base right up to below the major twist 3/4 of the way up was a unanimous decision
