Liquidamber forest

Post by matlea »

Hi all,

Thought I would start a post on this LA forest I put together a couple of weeks back. Not too much to look at at the moment hopefully in time it keeps improving ....

I collected these guys after they sprouted out of the leaf litter I swept up and put on the garden. Leaf litter was from neighbours LA which contained both leaves and the seeds .

Once they have established I will correct some of the ones on too much of a lean.

I will leave the taller one not the right, with a bend part way up, to thicken and then chop back at the bend. It already has a bud in just the right spot so I should be able to get a good transition.

I think the main focus will be internode length and trying to induce smaller leaves.

..... And keeping it alive
