Azelia needs help

This Azelia followed me home from the nursery. :lol: :lol: I have repotted, is this the right size pot :?: Do I need to give special fert or can I use miracle gro as for my other trees :?: thanks for any ideas. sheba53 :)

not bad :D if your happy with the size of the trunk i wouldnt be concerned about pot size as long as you didnt take to many roots off and you can keep the soil to its liking.

as for azalea they need a different fert, you can get an azalea and camelia fert for this, miracle gro do one especially. im not big on azalea so this is about as much help as i can give, others with more knowledge on them should be able to help :D

I fertilise them just like every other tree I have :-) nothing special for them

prune the tips back to 2 leafes, and is will shoot bakc like mad, then as they new shoots grow keep trimming bak to 2 leaves and you will get good leaf reduction

Stop pruning mid autumn if you want it to flower as any later you will be cutting the flower buds
