Re: White Pine with Peter adams
Love it Skip. That is a reasonably large tree and being a white pine is also a reasonably rear species in Aus bonsai, so more congratulations. I would also be interested to see the pot that Peter has recommended.
Great start, lets see it progress.
Watto
PS - Can you afford the recommended pot?

Re: White Pine with Peter adams
Really nice tree Chris
Unless the window and the person I can see in it are both minature, then this is a serious sized tree
Good luck with it - I hope you have some students to wire it for you.
Regards
Steve

Re: White Pine with Peter adams
Nice white pine Skippy. Its very hard to see a good example of white pines in Australia. I did have one that i worked > on to severely and it carked it. I have found them to be a bit touchy and not predictable like the black pine. I have a few i am experimenting on. Are you going to leave it that leggy or is the plan to make it a little more compact?. Enjoy it.

Re: White Pine with Peter adams
Hi All
Thanks for you nice coments, I had the tree in my collection for 3 years before I started to work it, I was told the white pine was a little touchy in Sydney so I needed to be certain of the care needed for the tree & that it would be alright in my climate. The tree is quiet big & cost me a fair bit & is very unique, I plan to complete the wire & styling this summer & pot it in late Autumn. I have attched Peters drawing which I requested be in black & white as i prefered this to colour.
Hope you all like it.
Cheers

nice work skip, i love the vision of where this one is going! cant wait to see some more progression on it
great tree and i bet it cost a mint too
man i wish i had something like that but my climate would probly kill it quicker than chopping it at the base and pouring petrol on it.
