Trident Maple was another OH! bugger

Post by Pup »

We have discussed tools and what to buy. I have said keep them clean and SHARP. Well the result of sharp tools is they cut very well.
So when you are using them you have to be careful. Now some tools like concave cutter's have a long cutting edge.
Watch the back edge when using the tip to cut a small twig :!: :!:  .

This little trident that was given to me of imported stock, has suffered another OH!BUGGER. As I was pruning some shoots back on another tree. I noticed a couple on the maple needed trimming. Instead of going and getting a pair of shears :!: :!: I used the concave and promptly cut of the TOP. :( . So now I have to start over.
Here is the start over and hopefully these cutting will make it there's plenty of foliage. So I am hopeful.

I once saw a demonstration at a Club meeting night where the demonstator was doing a cascade and about half way through the demonstration he cut (without his glasses on) about 90% of the cascade off. Now that was a real OHHH BUGGGGER!!!!

He said "Lets pretend that didn't happen" and he wired the bit back on and continued with the demonstration.

Hi Pup
Depending on the current, the 12V battery wired to the fence will also stop a myriad of bad habits - 4 ever

Hi Pup
Just did a quick calc and I reckon you need to organise another EIGHT Maples to ensure a 12V supply from the batteries you are using as a prompt. :D
