Trident droping leaves

Is it unusual for trident maples to drop their leaves slowly at this time of year, the begining of autumn?

Going by the last few days i wouldnt think the trees know its autumn yet. Has the tree dried out in the last few days?

Normal if the tree has been under fertilised or not repotted for a while.

Trees will lose leaves any time if they have been under stress. Most likely Kez is right and it has been a bit dry one day? Usually no problem. Even if they drop all leaves they do it to protect themselves and should shoot again in a few weeks or, at this time of year, maybe next spring.
Starvation can also cause leaves to change colour and drop Grant has got in while I slowly type!. Keep feeding every few weeks all through growing season.

I know one of the trident has some what of 'dry leaf' with a brown tip no bigger than 5c coin.

Use blood/bone fertiliser from bunnings but will probably purchase a liquid fertiliser and another controlled release from osmocote

1 from ray nesci is drooping leaf - possibily repotting needed and purchased during that week. Was the only one that I found to be in good condition. Leaf are full red/orange/yellow but don't really know the exact trident specie.
While the other that was bought from megumi around october has brown tip of 5c coin but still green and slightly dried. This has been repotted when it was purchased.

Will post some images in the morning/afternoon with its current state.

Kinda hard to tell but to me they look to be fine, especially since its the end of summer

Number 2 I wouldn't bat an eyelid at, mine looked worse than that even before the heat hit, pretty sure SA is too hot and dry for them. Number 1 is hard to see while on my phone but doesn't look more than dried out either to me

Still don't know if Maple 2 requires repotting in its current state. Gets enough sun from morning to afternoon around 4pm, watered around 6pm from TAFE.

I leave the house quite early, only days off are monday and thursday which I water around 9-11am. Other days are alot harder since I'm either at TAFE
