My Quercus suber is showing its age so I treated it to a new pot

Did you just slip pot it ? I have one ,and i will need to do some root trimming this spring . Is october a good time , more or less ? I have no repotting experience with them .
The new pot suits that handsome tree , btw !

Very nice ric. Love the new pot. One of my favourite species. I'd have a hundred if they weren't such sloooooooow growers. Hood luck with and keeps us posted.

Hi Timothy, yes it was a very gentle slip pot. the new one has a lot more space so I feel it is OK. It was last repotted September before last and took a while to recover. I did some research and found they have the reputation of being a bit touchy so I advise more frequent repots and light root pruning as for timing early spring seems to be the best.

Great choice of pot.... gives the tree much more gravitas and class. Well chosen.
