Very nice ric. Love the new pot. One of my favourite species. I'd have a hundred if they weren't such sloooooooow growers. Hood luck with and keeps us posted.

Ces.

Lovely tree and pot combination - well done!
One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

Hi Timothy, yes it was a very gentle slip pot. the new one has a lot more space so I feel it is OK. It was last repotted September before last and took a while to recover. I did some research and found they have the reputation of being a bit touchy so I advise more frequent repots and light root pruning as for timing early spring seems to be the best.

Great choice of pot.... gives the tree much more gravitas and class. Well chosen.

Great change, ric!
When I think of oaks, I think if majestic trees in open grass fields! I think you've nailed it.
Much more pleasing to the eyes than before, really well done.
Cheers
