Storing Organic Fertilizer

Boy it is hot here in NZ. I'm worried about my organic ferts. Does anybody know how much heat it can take? My logic says to me it can be damaged if exposed to to much heat, but how much is to much? I'm storing it in the fridge now but just wondering if some damage maybe have been done...
Another something that bothers me. Can organics be used in this extreme heat ? Again my logic says to me to not fertilize now until things cool down somewhat.....

When I opened it yesterday its a light brown colour. That made me think of how much heat it can take, and is it still usable ...

I wouldn't imagine there would be any problems...it's probably stored in a factory somewhere, stacked on a pallet, or in the nursery or bunnings. Surely the temp in these situations fluctuates more for longer periods?

Sounds like a liquid fert?? Did you shake it well before using, as liquid ferts will settle when sitting. All my ferts sit on the bench under cover and go through all temperature ranges. Never had any issues.

based on natural blood and bone with a range of proteins,
amino acids, micro and macro minerals and vitamins."
When I read that it dawned on me that organic ferts isn't made up of living biological organisms, so heat or cold wont do much to it. Sorry for the over reaction

I beg to differ mate. I have always kept my fertilizers in a dark cool place. I'm fortunate to have an area under my house that meets these requirements very well.
The following is from the manufacturer of the fertilizer:
Storage: Due to its organic base, this product should not be stored after dilution. In its concentrated form it may be stored in a cool dark place indefinitely.

Yeah storing it in a diluted form is a big no no. Cool dark places aren't always that available. It does come in a white container so i don't think a dark place is that necessary. I'm going to email them about its effectiveness when stored in a heated environment.
I mean how much heat is to much.....

That's a good idea. When I've contacted various fertilizer companies, they have got back to me with the information. Please let us know what they have to say.
