Yes very easy this time of year just put them in soil, you can use the coke bottle method. I have not use hormone paste but I have used honey,it stop bacteria setting in.
Cheers Pup

Thanks Pup. Will do. After seeing a huge contorted specimen in a railway car park, I think these'll make very nice trees!

Relatively quick and easy to root using standard cutting techniques. Should have roots in a couple of weeks at this time of year.

They do :) I'm working on one at the moment that I picked up at our last show :aussie:

The flowers are the best part, a really nice bright purple. My house is surrounded by them, and they all in full bloom at the moment :)

I had one for quite some time, but sold it a couple of years ago to a W.A member on here. Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to post anymore, so I don't know how it's doing nowadays :(
I found it relatively straight forward when it comes to care. They seem to handle root pruning easily, like most natives, love a drink, but flowers... I never saw! I have seen one photo a long time ago of a very old specimen which was in flower. Strangely, this tree was in Sth. America of all places. Here's an old pic of mine. Pup was always hassling me (in the nicest way ;) ) to get it onto a rock....I never did quite get around to it. Miss this tree now that it's gone (from my collection)

Cheers!

Mine was flowering when I bought it, so was lucky :P Unfortunately I only let a couple of the flowers burst before nipping them all off, don't want to waste that energy :) The only downside I've noticed so far is that they don't seem to backbud very well on older wood.

Will post mine up when I finished wiring it... bloody thing is massive
