G'day,
Ray Nesci is selling on behalf of a long term friend of his, a fig collection that has been in the making for over 30 years. 'Steve the snake handler' loved his figs and due to him recently moving into a nursing home his entire collection of nearly 100 are up for sale.
Most are in bonsai pots (some are quality Japanese pots) and there are a few still in plastic. The majority are Ficus rubiginosa the 'Port Jackson' but there are also some Ficus macrophylla the 'Moreton Bay Fig' and Ficus salicifolia/Ficus neriifolia the 'Willow Leaf Fig'.
Sizes range from 5cm tall to over 1 meter tall and prices range between $20 to $375.
The sale starts this Saturday 11th October at Ray Nesci Bonsai Nursery, 26 Sagars Rd, Dural.
NOTE: The figs haven't been maintained well in recent years but there are some cracking trunks ready to be chopped back to and nice tree's grown. What you will be buying here is time!

Hi Steven,
I have always liked Ray's in Dural for the simple reason that he has quality stock and your photos of the senior fella's collection reflect this. Just a shame I can't get up there this weekend or I would be on to a willow leaf fig in a heartbeat.
Thanks for sharing the story.
Cheers,
Brad Jackson aka Brad75.

I'm not sure if Ray posts trees, sorry.
Here is another shot I have of a couple of the trees.
The sales starts today and I recommend getting there early because the best ones will go fast.
Regards,
Steven
