Melaleuca incana

Post by Pup »

This is a melaleuca incana in flower at the moment has some more to go. I have this show every year now. I am very happy as this tree had a traumatic start to life as a Bonsai, also caused a bit of a stir at the beginning of AusBonsai.

Hope you enjoy.

What a great example Pup, hope mine will one day look like this :) Do you do anything in particular to get it to flower so profusley?

Love the way the moss is 'flowering' (is that correct?), makes it looks like reeds or something growing underneath, really adds to the scale :)

No just a regular fertilizer regime. Yes that is the moss flowering.

Cheers Pup

Awesome mate, definately something to aim for :) Thankyou for sharing!

I love the flowers on the incana, so delicate and especially love the way they kind of have this glowing red light in the middle of the flower. Very cool :)

Thats sweet as  , I put some Incana seed down last year and with meleluca seed you usually get a bag of dust containing 40 billion seeds, anyway I did a pinch of them and now I've got hundreds of the little blighters to pot up :D

what is going on :lost:
3 incana 's
1st with lots of great new growth. but only 2 flowers ,
2nd one looked like a truck ran over it and no new growth.
3rd one flowered and flowered and flowered , and now it looks like its dying :?:
so I guess I have to cut 2 back very hard :?:
but do I cut back leaving some leaf or do I go harder :?:
