collected iris strawberry (arbutus unedo)

Post by miyagiman »

This is an irish strawberry that I collected last weekend, many thanks to my helper for his assistance.
Have potted into a large tub to hopefully recover and grow some future branching for a year or two.
I will shorten off the extending tops as soon as it shows some positive signs of recovery.
A lovely nebari with some good movement and low down muscle in the trunkline.
wish me luck, miyagiman.

Nice stump!

I am looking at collecting one my self, but was thinking of holding off until spring, I would have thought it was a bit early to collect? did you bare root this before potting up?

Cheers
Matt
