Procumbens revival

Post by PeterH »

This tree was one of 2 Ariel layers done around 2006. The other one is on this site (‘”Procumbens weed”).
After removing it from the layer it was left for 2 seasons and in 2010 work was done on it as in the attached photos.
After wind blew over the pot, breaking it, I re-potted into a semi cascade pot. It wasn’t until a couple of season ago when I had problems with Juniper Blight I looked at re shaping it.
As explained in the other pos,t I went through all possible causes of the deterioration of all my Junipers and pines which is why it is in this pot. One of my early thoughts was a root problem so it was put into a larger pot.
All my junipers are coming back to good heath now and I have a more regular fungicide program.
I am thinking of repotting it into a shallow round pot in spring. ( If I can find one).

Regards,

Peter

Lovely work Peter,

This has become a very graceful tree, I like the fact that you have stepped away from the semi cascade as well

Keep us posted

Hi Peter, Excellent work, I love the direction this tree is taking now, looks like good structure, nice balance and good direction. Love the winter colour, I cant get that in Brisbane. Good progression photo's too, thanks for sharing. Michael.
