Considering collecting this juni

Doing some work at a shutdown site and found this nice juni on the side of a hill. You can see by the pic with my hand that it has a nice girth. Luckily I have a forklift and a ute here to help me.

Take as much root as you can and cut back the branching as little as possible ( about 1/2).
Seassol every 2-3 days and I had mine in full sun.

So I got it out and home, bit of damage to the bark on removal. Came with some good fine roots in pretty close so that gives me a little to be confident about.

I currently have it soaking in a weak seasol solution.
How long til I should drain it and fill it with some mix?

Hi golgotha,
I would leave it in the tub for a week. Change the Seasol every 24 hours. After potting continue with giving a drink of Seasol, at least 3 times a week, until you see some new growth.

Thanks for the well wishes guys, and the advice Ray.

Now I have to figure out how to make a makeshift plug so I can drain this seasol and change it. I can just manage to lift the tree myself so the full tub will be impossible.

As for growth there was alot of backbudding going on on some lower thick sections with near zero light due to its growing habit and its hillside position.
Hopefully with some more light and a little TLC I'll see it shoot back on them and I will be able to use them as some sort of guide to the trees recovery health.

Could you use a bit of hose to siphon it out maybe? The soil might mess that up actually. Not sure
