Yes 110 I was told collected 10 years ago
Came from a hedge planted by a great great grandparent of person he was holding bonsai classes with .
Privets have been around in Australia for almost 160 yrs introduced into nsw in the 1850"s
As I'm starting to see they make very nice bonsai .
Can hardly wait till winter to dig some of my interesting trees of my own .
Cheers .

Hi Meagi, the question usually asked in bonsai is how long has the tree been in training as a bonsai. I have some trees that i got from WA and look like they are 100 years old but are only about 12 years old this is due to the time put intothe tree and skill of the grower, haveing said that you have a great tree.
Cheers John :aussie:

Hi Meagi, Im not sure if I submitted properly b4. I love the Bonsai, but more so I love the Pot. Are you prepared
to part with the details of where you purchased the pot and are they available to the plebs.
Cheers

Thanks John
This tree came from a well known and honest bonsai man
Don't doubt his word . This tree suffered a bit of a blow on the way to me knocking off left dead wood so a repair was needed un noticeable so it will prosper on .
At this age it is very brittle and is in fact very old all 1 piece so it must of been a good size at one stage .
Cheers I'm glad you like

Yes Denaz an honour to have this in my collection :hooray:

Hi Dennis glad you like the pot is a beautiful Japanese pot which sets the tree off nicely It
Came with the tree the designer uses great
pots if he comments on this thread then maybe you could ask him .
Cheers

Wow mate did you design and grow that yourself ?
I've noticed you have some very top quality trees .
Really like this one too I know not a great deal about privets except they are very hardy ,and not much fizzes them
Hence why a newbie like myself am interested in them .
Cheers for the pic mate I could spend all day talking and looking at people's collections .

I really mean to offense, because you obviously love the tree. However, there's something about I just don't like. Thinking about it, I think I find the deadwood too disconnected from the tree, like a young tree on top of old wood. My eyes aren't picking up any kind of movement.
