Big ! ground grown ASH , gets a trunk chop

Post by FEX »

:gday: This used to be a 5 meter tall ash, was self seeded a while ago, not sure when, growing in the wrong spot. So , instead of getting rid of it,i decided to cut it and see,(trunk chopped in december 2012) , i now have three branches to start my plan for it, i'm thinking of going the natural tree look, broom style maybe, not typical bonsai style, i'm expecting very rapid growth next season, i will be leaving it in the ground till i grow the main and secondary branching, which i need to be thick . the top cut is about 9cm wide , cheers , Joe

Good start and good work for not letting it be dug and thrown away. Could make a good sumo.
