Hi Team Bonsai,
I have a couple projects coming up with my trees and I plan on screwing some roots and seedlings in place on a few trees to aid the root spread. From your experience what screws are safe to use? to drill into trunk? I would imagine brass screws are the best? any advice would be appreciated! I don't want a copper nail story on my trees haha Also are figs sensitive to screwing into trunk?
Cheers

Re: What screws to use in trunks?
G'day Rob and welcome to AusBonsai!
Congratulations on breaking the ice with your first post.
Usually brass or stainless steel screws are used. I've used both and haven't noticed any ill effects from either.
I'd love to see pictures of the projects you are working on.
Regards,
Steven

Thanks Steven, I have many projects on the go! Will have to get them up soon. I dug a fantastic fig this summer from my parents property
