These were grown from seed 7 years ago, also known as the Rock Fig , Native Fig or Desert Fig . They are very erratic growers and have only been trimmed once in their short life . I decided i had better do something with them so i dropped them into the slab pot/tray i recently made
Cheers Alpineart
. I did have them on a rock with coral in the early stages but the rock was required elsewhere so these were thrown into a sand tray and forgotten . 1fig is still attached to the coral so i have rounded up some collected sandstone from Adelaide which is close to the texture and features of the coral . The tray was a little loud so i toned it down with some tan render and a quick wire for the 2 trunks and they can go enjoy the sunshine for the rest of the season . I will defoliate them in the near future . Ficus Brachypoda - Northern Territory Rock Fig
