Heres a couple of Tillia (linden or small leafed lime ) that I lifted today I have quite a few of these to lift.I have been growing them for around 12 years.
These trees were started from bared rooted nursery stock

You have some nice nebari there Craig. Have you been lifting them occassionally to get such good root distribution or have you just been lucky. Looks like you can treat them just like tridents, or am I wrong? Really nice work mate.

Thanks Tony, I have been watching some of the Tillia being grown in Europe and they certainly make great trees
Hackimoto, the Ruscus is indestructible so I like it but unfortunately my customers don't share my passion for it.
Steve the nebari is no accident, I have been root pruning these trees from the word go, they get lifted every second year because they are a little slower than some of the other species I grow. They are not as strong as the tridents and I doubt you could get the big flared bases that the tridents make. There are some really big old Lindens in a couple of the gardens I work in up here and they are magnificent trees.
