A Trident maple donated by Ray Nesci in the national collection in increasingly cold Canberra. No zero degrees yet but consistently down around 3 to 4 degrees over night and 17 to 18 degrees during the day.
I am taking photos every 3 to 4 days and should build up a nice autumn progression series.
Ray repots his tridents every year and this one was defoliated in December.
Enjoy

nice grant thanks for sharing! not sure about that low right branch. not because of its length but doesnt seem to marry. this tree looks like 2 fused together?

Re: Yet more autumn color
Hi Aaron,
That was about as good as it got this year. It could do with a bit more sun and cold, and next year it will not be repotted so given all those possibilities the color may be more intense next autumn.
The tree was a root over rock that has swallowed the rock.
Did you see the Japanese Maple elsewhwere, the color was amazing

Hi Grant,
Did you happen to get a pic of the autumn colour of the Catlin Elm?
Cheers,
Leigh.
