Melaleuca Nesophillia

Post by marcela »

Hi there,
Just wondering if any of our native experts or anyone else has played around with this species,I picked up an advanced tree at Greenfingers Native Nursery in Stawell ,a nursery I recommend for such a high variety of stock providing you're happy to start off with tube stock,I would like to know how it might take to cutting back hard as all the growth is on top sort of like a rounded broom style but thats not the style I have in mind for it,any tips greatly appreciated.
Thanks,marcela :fc:

This is my Nesophillia,
It was not bad shape when I got it, but now its been re-potted and very healthy, it's time to do some real work on it.
They grow quite fast and have a beautiful purple spherical flower.
Mike.

Thanks Mike,as I said new to natives so I'm going to experiment with what ever I can get my hands on,yours has pretty flowers and a lot more foliage further down the branches as mine just has minimal amount on top but I did only pay $3 for it so can't ask for much,I will see what comes of it,yours has a lot of potential once you get into it.
