Japanese Shohin/Chuhin Trident

Post by Mojo Moyogi »

Just spotted this tree on in Jonas Dupuich's Bonsai Tonight's online album and had to share.

This is from the sales area at the 2011 ASPAC convention in Japan

If you haven't already done so, check out Jonas' excellent blog at: http://bonsaitonight.com/

Cheers,

A very, very nice little trident. Something to aim for. One thing i did notice was the ramification of the tree was certainly there but ,..untidy. There were some that were a little un- uniform. Maybe this is what happens when secondary's and tertiary's start to get that dense. I know from my little experience that when you are pruning a ramified tree you start to lose your bearings on where you were. Not being picky..just observing.

As it is in the sales area at ASPAC, I think the "untidiness" one can see is due to full trees selling far better than a barer tree. IMO
