Plum Resurrection

Post by tex048 »

Just a start of a new thread for a tree i have adopted as of today.

A mate of mine had no room at the inn for this stump so it’s ended up with me.

The tree was ripped out of the grounds of our local church during building works, it was treated fairly averagely - yanked out with a backhoe – its very old (as old as the original buildings)

My mate got there a few hours later, rescued the tree and potted it up. It had quite a lot of fine roots at the trunk so has already started kicking on with long leggy growth. The back side of the stump is dead, I’m hoping for some good growth before winter to tide it over till next spring.

A couple of quick pics on my phone
