Organic substrates, nutrients, stimulators and enhancers

Hi everyone!

I was listening to local radio today and I heard an advert that got me intrigued. I have just visited the website, and I am even more intrigued!!! The ad was for Organic plant stimulator's, but looking at their website they do a whole lot more that may be beneficial for us bonsai enthusiasts. I am particularly interested in the "root stimulator", the "funki fungi", "lava soil" and the "organic growth nutrient". I know they aren't cheap, but from what I can see they are very concentrated, in some cases requiring only 1ml per 10 litres!!! I would like to know if anyone has heard anything about these products, or even better tried them before?? I'd especially like to know more about their organic substrates (coco medium and lava soil).

The company is B A C which I thought was a European company, as the ad I heard mention extensive testing in Europe, but their website says they are an all Australian company. And most importantly the website is http://www.bacplantfood.com.au

Hi Luke308 , mate someone as to be a guinea pig , better you than me . I have found all i need to use for fertilizing and potting . None of which our original bonsai growers or bonsai guru's would probably use . It works for me and that's what bonsai is all about .Trial and error of different mediums , fertilizers , conditioners , pots , wire ,herbicides , pesticides . the list goes on . I can't say i have used anything that is supposed to be used for bonsai apart from plants , pots and bonsai branch cutters and thats it . How big is your bank account , you can waste a lot of money on unecessary materials and equipment , at the end of the day it doesn't improve your talent .Plants will grow well enough with a balanced compound fertilizer applied regularly along with some water and sunshine .
