It has been my pleasure Antonio.

Guy is indeed a magician with Bald Cypress. I have had the pleasure to see him work on several occasions and he always puts on a good show.

I hope that one day I can take you up on this very generous offer, thank you very much.

Keep them coming mate :D
I'm glad you are enjoying the photos.

Ya, that bougy is a nice one. I knew the gentleman (Harold Harvey) that donated that tree. He was an important influence in my early bonsai development and a very generous person. Both with his time and his resources.

Have a great day.

Paul

Hi one and all

I noticed quite a few people interested in these stunning photos, I visited the Washington exhibition in september and filmed all of these trees from the reverse angle and they had been rotated for the midweek. I posted a video on youtube search Bonsai at the Bay Washington when you get to youtube, hope you enjoy.

It was amazing Jamie every angle of those bonsai was great. The curator of the centre explained they only forward on fridays, saturdays and sundays when they have over 1500 people through on those days. Pretty cool numbers to look at bonsai.

Masekeane,

Yes, good information that should be considered if you are planning a visit.

The photos I posted in this thread happened to be taken on a Friday. I got there just after they opened at 10 AM to beat the crowds.

Thanks for your input.

Paul

Leigh,

Thanks for the positive feedback.

Yes, the Japanese played a major role in getting this collection started. However, they are not the only ones who have been generous. This collection contains three groups of trees, The Japanese collection, The Chinese collection, and the North American collection.

Have a great day.

Paul

With this installment, our trip through the US National Bonsai collection will come to an end.

Unfortunately, I do not have the information on the final two photos. Nonetheless, these are nice trees and well worth a look.

The photos I have posted only represent a portion of the trees which make us this great collection. I hope you all have an opportunity to visit it someday.

Cheers,
Paul

Gerth,

You are most welcome and I agree with you 100%, there needs to be an Aussie section added to this collection. From what I've seen here at ausbonsai, you folks grow some fine trees down under.

Cheers,
Paul
