What an absolutely fantastic opportunity. How good is it for the RSL to embrace a Japanese art on Australia Day

Wow!!! I'd LOVE to attend this!
Probably a silly question but does anything know what time it would start/finish? I have BDO that day in homebush but my favourite acts dont start till 8pm, I'll be driving up from Newcastle so if I leave early enough maybe I could get plenty of bonsai time in!!

I'd love to purchase some new Trees for my collection, I hope they'd be safe in the car until the next morning though

9.30 AM - 4.30PM, just check into the RSL Club as you would any Club and it's upstairs.There is a lift if you need it.
Signage is also all over the place. Plenty of parking in the carpark or along the road.
14 Military Road Merrylands.
Just across from the railway line.
If you want to bring a tree of your own for advice, please do so, the service is free.
Demonstrations for the Public will be at 11am, 1pm and 3 pm.

The show is all on track, great support from 8 Sydney clubs, all to display their best Bonsai, 4 Bonsai suppliers including one with some diferent pots.
3 knowledgable local demonstrators during the day, and a help desk to bring in your Bonsai for advice.

Hi,

There will be a demonstrator from Nepean Bonsai Society, Illawarra Bonsai Society and the third is a surprise.

If you are planning to put a tree/trees into the Show, an information sheet and map will be sent to your club contact early this week. If you have not received it by Friday please email me and I will send it to you.

Please note, trees for display will not be accepted on the day of the Show for the following reasons:
The Club itself opens at the same time the Show does so there is no time to register or setup.
ID/description Cards will be professionally written up the day before the Show.

Security will be present during setup (bump-in), overnight, during the show and when we bump-out.

Suppliers are from around Sydney and who have a history of strong Club support.
The Show Committee hopes that you will show your appriecation and support them too.

The RSL has shown us considerable support with this event, please make use of their facilities too.

I can hardly wait for the big show. I already have the car packed (don't worry there is plenty of room to take things back home) and the day planned.
This will be a very exciting day for a country boy - going all the way to the big smoke!!! (Is it true that the buildings are bigger than the grain silos?)

Hi everyone,

I hope to see as many as possible of you at the show on Wednesday.

I will be bringing up brochures about the NBPCA, the booklet put out by the National Arboretum Canberra( our future home) and the plans of the building to be built for us on the site.

Construction is due to start next month.

I hadnt planned on going, now it looks like I will be able to get there first thing in the morning, look forward to seeing the exhibit and what has been achieved in such a short amount of time & out of the normal season. It would be really great if this becomes an annual event.

I cant wait to see the plans for the new site at the Arboretum and meet a few Ausbonsai members as well.
