Yes that is the one, you will probably have a nice root flare at the ground, some carving maybe, but first let it have its head and power along.

By the size of your helpers, you have many years ahead of you. The helpers I have of that age are GreatGrandies.

I to missed this one but i will monitor it closely. I hope you post regularly Soda as i have one in the ground growing on, and are frost tolerant in the ground. I have always wanted one as it reminds me of being a kid growing up in Perth and swimming at Peppermint Grove. it wasn't millionaires lane back then just common folk. Used to collect mussels off the pier and go home to a feast. I have yet to see one as Bonsai and you might get there ahead of me with this one Soda.

Yes the only bonsai Agonis image I've been able to find is this.

Look more fig like than what I've seen in nature, which is what I'd like to work towards. Particularly the willow aspects. Pup any chance you can source an image or two

Agonis Flexuosa can handle the cold I believe but the Nana/dwarf is not so tolerant. A friend in Sydney have a very nice one and when I pointed it out I got oh I haven't bothered much with that thing, do you like it I did load some pics up here of it once I think.

Soda Pepermint grove is on the other side of town to me, but there are some street trees planted here though the are only about 6 years old there is one Dwarf planted in a garden as well so if they will be OK no problem. If I think of it next time I am over the other side and have my camera will take some of the bigger tree as find this post. Or start another so you can see them.
As you will see from the pics they are a naturally weeping tree.

Thanks Pup. Melbourne has an abundance of full sized Agonis for reference, I was more interested in Bonsai'd ones and hopefully seeing an image of a bonsai'd weeping one. You mentioned in another post you knew a few WA people who had them as Bonsai, and it was these I was hoping to see.

Wow, you can really see the difference in the foliage type on the dwarf as compared to the standard. I never did understand why my original image 1 (undug) looked so different to street tree agonis.
