				Hi Graeme,
I was trying my best to get them to come in yesterday, they ran out of time. They said that they were going to put aside some time today to come in and do something. Here's hoping that they have time and everything works out....maybe we will get some national telly coverage.

				hi all,
The native Dracophyllum that is part of the planting by Aaron, Aaron and Germaine is in flower at the moment. Only one of the plants seems to flower and it looks the oldest and clumpiest of them all.
Enjoy,
Grant

Love the shots of the Dracophyllum guys! With all the crowds and trees it would be easy to miss the tiny flowers.
It looks as though the collection has been rearranged slightly and I see new trees. I had better get down after the Floriade crowds subside to check it out.
What have been the most popular bonsai so far this year?
Regards,
Steven

My favorite is the English elm raft from QV in Victoria. The tree was dug up in Gippsland in 1988 and had been munched on by cows for quite a while I would think. Parts of it have rotted out and regrown over the years giving a very natural shape. The ramification that QV has manageed to get into the tree is truly remarkable.
We have lots of new trees on display and they are all much admired by different people.
There is a small semi cascade chinese elm that attracts a lot of attention and of the course the big Taxodium group also.
Words and pictures fail so you need to see them in the bark yourself.

				Hi all,
This looks like being a record year, numbers wise, if the weather holds up.
We have had almost 20,000 visitors to the collection during Floriade already.

				Hi all,
The visitors continue to flock through Floriade and the NBPCA.
Quentin and Jeff from Melbourne were just here and we had a good chat about the trees on display and the future plans for the collection.
Brenda P(President of Illawarra Bonsai) was also here this morning as well.
We have had 27,500 visitors so far during the two weeks of Floriade!

				Hi all,
IMG_2687 -compressee.JPG
The trees are now mostly in leaf after the winter rest. Pups Callistemon looks like it is going to have a great flowering year this year.
We will be repotting some of the bigger natives after Floriade this year.
Many new aqusisitions and loan bonsai on display this year.

				Hi all,
In Canberra we had a mini long weekend this past weekend and we had 10,443 visitors trough the collection in just 3 days!
Whew. It was go go go.
Next weekend may be even busier!
We are also having a live cross to the weather at 7.30 pm this Friday night on the local ABC. Should be fun.
