It looks as though the collection has been rearranged slightly and I see new trees. I had better get down after the Floriade crowds subside to check it out.
What have been the most popular bonsai so far this year?

My favorite is the English elm raft from QV in Victoria. The tree was dug up in Gippsland in 1988 and had been munched on by cows for quite a while I would think. Parts of it have rotted out and regrown over the years giving a very natural shape. The ramification that QV has manageed to get into the tree is truly remarkable.
We have lots of new trees on display and they are all much admired by different people.
There is a small semi cascade chinese elm that attracts a lot of attention and of the course the big Taxodium group also.
Words and pictures fail so you need to see them in the bark yourself.
