yea i have had two pieces of drift wood for ages that i was going to put a squimartar on , but after seeing yours it changed my mind. :)

gday man :D

shimpaku are a better variety especially for shohin size trees, they have a tighter adult foliage and you can get them very dense. if your drift wood is large squamata would be fine, the adult foliage of sqaumata is a little less dense but none the less can make for some great trees.

people have told me shimpaku are slower i beleive this is in thickenen as mine respond very well to trimming for back budding and pinching for get dense foliage :D
