Wouldnt surprise me much, however that is why the girls are inside or close to the house and supervised whenever the chainsaw is operating or the tractor is moving. They are pretty useful at unloading the wood once it gets to the house tho!

Is it physically possible for a tree to upright itself like that? I've never heard of that before, it's utterly fascinating.

By removing the trunk branches it's a very real possibility especially if anchored by the roots, the counter balance is removed.

All gone Bodhi!...after I poached a few big cuttings 8-) ,the chipper moved in, you can't tell there was ever, a tree there now! It could have been used for firewood I guess,once it had dried out,but it probably wouldn't have the intensity of a nice load of hardwood..I've long since moved onto gas heating...easier and cleaner! :) ....Dog.
