Is this a recent import? Is there someone doing this commercially in WA?

It happens to all of us... well, some of us. I was encouraging a beautiful trident trunk to grow branches and finally got a side branch just where it was needed. It was doing well, I turned the tree so the sun could warm the other side and a couple of weeks later deliberately removed the unwanted 'back' branch only to discover it was the much needed side branch and I had been a bit hasty. After more wanting, wishing and hoping the tree obliging pushed out a shoot close to the ideal spot and I have been VERY careful since then. But that hasn't stopped me doing the same thing on another plant. As my mother would have cautioned... less haste .. more speed. And yesterday I was on the extension ladder trimming a 13' foot hedge back to 10' and didn't move several trees because they weren't in danger and suceeded in knocking the necessary side branch off the persimmon. Duuuuhhhhh.

Jow , G,day Friends of mine were in Japan a couple of years ago. They organised the import of the Akadama, and at the same time some Satsuki Azalea,s and some Shohin Trident maples. As I said fiends.
I was very happy to receive two Trident maples as gift's. One unfortunately did not make it. The Methyl Bromide got to it.
By the way I think the Woman I got my Dragon pot from has a couple more. I have to make a date to go and have a look may be next week. As we have our Bonsai Show this weekend. :)
