Turned out to be a great day, so thanks to everyone who turned up.
I think we sort of surprised ourselves with how well it went.
It was great to see everyone pulling together, which is fantastic for such a new club. We had lots of support as well. So thanks has to go to everyone that was involved and a special thanks to the Waverley Club, A to Z, The Imagination Tree.....and a huge thanks has to go to Pat Kennedy, he made my day........thanks for making the trip down, and I'll treasure my pots! We are all looking forward to your trip back next year.
Just a few photos from the day......

Golly gosh....I'm blushin' down to my toenails!!!
On the contrary, it's me who owes the big thankyou to Jarrod & Ruth and the rest of the gang at Yarra Valley Bonsai for inviting me to their show and making me so welcome once there. It was great and I met some very interesting characters.... Jarrod, who I'd met before and acted as the purchasing officer for someone with deep pockets, Ruth, who I'm wanting to employ as a promotionalist, Fly, a very pleasant bloke who is not at all like the AusB policeman that I imagined, and many others including Trevor who is the senior instructor at the Yarra Valley Flyfishers where I got some much needed coaching on the Sunday morning. Trevor also told me that my favourite flyrod has a crap action which now allows me to spend megabucks on some new gear-wonderful
.
I'm not long home after taking the long scenic route through the mountains with some fishing along the way (with the crap rod)....but I loved it!!!
All-in-all, a great few days!
Thanks everybody for making it happen,
Pat

That's all good and well Pat, but the real question is....
Did you catch anything?

Good on you Yarra Valley. Thanks for posting the piccys. I will be able to go to these things one day when i can afford to pay an apprentice who wants to work for hardly any pay but have the pleasure to hang around a Bonsai nursery. Oh and be able to deal with tourists with a smile on there face, even if they are only looking. Oh.....and doesnt mind his boss talking to trees.
